About the Department
Established in 2012, the Management department offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in both regular and weekend formats. We even have a PhD program in marketing management! Since its start, the department has seen significant growth, teaching just 27 students in 2012 to a current total of 273 across regular and weekend/evening undergraduate programs, and 19 in both MBA and Project Management through the regular postgraduate program. Additionally, we reach students beyond our main campus, teaching 59 postgraduate students across Mattu, Bedele, and Bure.
We're dedicated to contributing to the university's mission beyond just teaching. Our faculty actively participates in research and community service initiatives, aiming to make a positive impact on society.
Management is fundamental to all human activities and crucial for success in any organization. We see the consequences of bad management everywhere, which is why we're passionate about training effective leaders. Through our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and future PhD in marketing management, we equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field.
Our Objectives:
Empower future professionals: We aim to develop graduates capable of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities in various organizations, be it private, non-governmental, or government.
Equip well-rounded managers: Our graduates can competently manage critical areas like marketing, finance, operations, human resources, materials, and information resources.
Nurture strong leadership skills: We cultivate professionals who can work effectively with others, make sound decisions, and implement them successfully.
Cultivate problem-solving abilities: Our students learn to identify and capitalize on opportunities while tackling challenges proactively.
Prepare for a competitive future: We equip our graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's complex and ever-evolving business environment.
